At a glance

  • Interpreters can be assigned to appointments as soon as they’re invited — they don’t need to accept the invite first.
  • The only required fields are name, email, team, and at least one language pair.
  • All plans include unlimited interpreters.

How to invite an interpreter

Go to Team → Interpreters and click + in the top right.

Fill in the required fields:

  • First name and last name
  • Email address
  • Team — the team they’ll be associated with
  • Language pair — English is included by default, so just select the other language. You can add multiple language pairs if the interpreter works in more than one language.

Language pairs tell Fluent which appointments the interpreter is qualified for. They’ll only appear as an option when scheduling appointments that match their assigned languages.

Click Send invite when you’re done.

What the interpreter receives

The interpreter gets an email inviting them to join Fluent. From there they’ll review their name (and correct it if needed), create a password, and agree to the terms of service. Once their account is created they can sign in on the web app or download the mobile app to view appointments assigned to them.

Resending or revoking an invite

If the interpreter doesn’t see their invite email, open the ··· menu at the end of their row in the interpreters table and select Resend invite.

If you need to cancel an invite, select Revoke invite from the same menu. The interpreter will no longer be able to redeem the invitation link.

Assigning before they accept

Interpreters can be assigned to appointments as soon as they’re invited — even before they create their account. This is useful if an interpreter hasn’t redeemed their invite yet but you need to assign them to upcoming appointments.
