Bulk import interpreters
How to invite multiple interpreters at once using a CSV upload.
At a glance
- Upload a CSV to invite many interpreters in one step.
- Fluent checks for language and team name mismatches before sending invites.
- You’ll get a chance to review everything before any invites go out.
How to bulk invite interpreters
Go to Team → Interpreters and click +. In the corner of the invite interpreter modal, click the Bulk invite interpreters link.
From there you can download the CSV template, fill it out, and upload it by dragging and dropping the file onto the modal or clicking to choose a file.
CSV template fields
The template includes the following columns:
- First name
- Last name
- Phone number
- Languages
- Team
- Address 1
- Address 2
- City
- State
- Zip
You can add as many interpreters as you need. All fields should be filled in for each row.
A note on languages and teams
The Languages and Team columns need to match exactly what’s in Fluent. Languages must match the spelling in Fluent’s language database, and the team name must match the team name set up in your account. If there are any mismatches, Fluent will flag them before invites are sent.
Resolving mapping errors
After you upload your CSV, Fluent checks for issues with the language and team columns. If something doesn’t match — a misspelling, a language that doesn’t exist in the database, or an incorrect team name — you’ll be asked to select the correct language or team from a list before you can proceed.
Review and send
Once all mapping errors are resolved, you’ll see a full review of the CSV with all the interpreter details you entered. Double-check everything for accuracy — especially email addresses, since an incorrect email means the invite goes to the wrong person or bounces. If an email is invalid, the invite status will show as Bounced in the interpreters table.
When you’re ready, click Import to send invites to all interpreters in the CSV.
